To go along with our theme of being a great host and planning ahead for holiday entertaining, we decided to put together a Tablescape of the Day mini-series of posts. From today until Thanksgiving, we'll post some of our favorite tablescapes and inspiration to help you plan for your own inspired celebrations.
Today's tablescape inspiration was designed for one of the store front windows inside Worthy of Love in downtown Petaluma. Worthy of Love is the gorgeous store that KSE Team Members and Family get to visit when they join us at our studio and they specialize in recycled home furnishings (something we can totally get behind!).
The idea behind this table was to highlight some seriously gorgeous high-low design details. We used everyday china and glassware (mason jars for water and DollarStore wine glasses) to show off the gorgeous reclaimed wood dining table. We made cloth napkins from some unbleached muslin leftovers and some scavenged pine flowers.
The high impact element in this tablescape was our collection of mix and match glass bottles. We hung some from the ceiling using twine (and patience) and clustered some right below it on the table to serve as candle holders.
The sheer number of clear glass vessels and the mixture of textures was what created the visual interest for this table.
Here's wishing you a happy inspired holiday planning!
